A Better Way to Build a Routine

Running is one of the simplest ways to move — but it’s easier (and more enjoyable) when you’re not doing it alone.

At UNITY Fitness, Run Club is about:

WHAT TO EXPECT

You don’t need experience to join — just a willingness to start.

  • Group runs with flexible pacing
  • Supportive, social environment
  • Options to run, walk, or mix both
  • Guidance for those working toward a 5K

HOW TO TRAIN FOR A 5K (SIMPLIFIED)

New to running? Start here.

  1. Keep it conversational
    If you can talk while running, you’re at the right pace.
  1. Use run/walk intervals
    Alternate between running and walking to build endurance.
  1. Focus on time
    Start with 20–30 minutes. Let distance come naturally.
  1. Stay consistent
    2–3 runs per week builds real progress.
  1. Recover properly
    Hydration, stretching, and rest are part of the process.

SAMPLE WEEK

A Simple Weekly Rhythm

  • UNITY Run Club (Group): 1-2x per week – Wednesday at 6:15 PM and/or Sunday at 9:30 AM
  • Independent Run/Walk: 1–2x per week
  • Strength or Mobility (at UNITY): 1–2x per week

This balance helps you stay consistent while reducing injury risk.

Meet in the Members Lounge of UNITY Fitness
